This is the beginning of Rob Zombie's movie-making career. He both wrote and directed House of 1000 Corpses, so this is where it all began. Rob Zombie first article films usually have unlikable characters, vulgarity for the sake of it, and his wife has a big role where she can show off a lot of skin. This one has a lot of those things. However, beneath all that, is there a truly scary story to tell? Some people don't like it, but some do.
